Prospect Spotlight: Chris Roberts (2019)
Lincoln Park 2019 point guard Chris Roberts is primed for a big spring and summer with Young & Reckless. He is a scoring point guard that is SO FAST! He attacks downhill. Goes coast to coast on a regular basis. Roberts is a bit wild with the ball at times, but you can live with that with what he brings to the table. He gets to the rim at will scoring on an array of and-1s and spin moves in the paint. Jumper needs to become more of a weapon to take his game to the next level. Solid passer when he wants to be. Roberts has mid-major upside and is a solid low-major player.
Roberts continued his momentum from last summer into his junior season at Lincoln Park.
“We had a great season. We won the regional. Coach helped us push through it beating some big team this year. I am real proud of us.”
He played a major role in his team’s success this past year.
“I think I was a big part of the team scoring wise and playing at a fast pace. Getting us out in the open court and getting fast break buckets for us.”
Where did he improve the most?
“I would say drive and kick ability because we had a few shooters that I tried to pass them the ball toward the end of the year.”
Right now Roberts doesn’t have much going on with recruiting, but as coaches get out to see him with Young & Reckless that should change.
