Illinois State Commit Leads in Impressive Performance

In the championship game it was the [player_tooltip player_id='2839970' first='Jordan' last='Williams'] show especially early. The combo forward is a top 20 prospect from Fremd that is headed to Illinois State. He came out aggressive from the beginning attacking off the bounce scoring in the lane on three and-1s. Tough cover off the bounce with his spin move and combination of athleticism/physicality. Also always a threat to dish it as he is such a good passer as almost a point-forward. Snatches rebounds in traffic. Finished with explosiveness out of the dunker spot and also knocked in a three. The shot making from the perimeter is what can take his game to the next level. He is already a very good free throw shooter with a nice looking lefty shot. Effective positional defender that has the tools you look for to be successful at the next level on that end. He had 25 points. Williams won tournament MVP honors.

Fremd is More Than One Player

This squad isn't just Williams. [player_tooltip player_id='2540096' first='Rafael' last='Pinto'] shoots lights out every time we see him play. The senior has good positional size and can really knock down shots from the perimeter. Quick release and consistent mechanics. Passes well on the move making good reads in their offense. He notched 13 points. If wasn't a huge scoring game for [player_tooltip player_id='2403723' first='Tommy' last='Moffett'], but the big wing did the little things passing, defending, and rebounding. Ricardo Requeno is a scrappy guard who is a spark for this team!

Nagler Steps Up with Pollack Out

Deerfield was without their go to player in Dartmouth commit [player_tooltip player_id='1552404' first='Jake' last='Pollack']. No doubt this would have been a more competitive game with Pollack playing. Without their go to player it was [player_tooltip player_id='2217962' first='Evan' last='Nagler'] that stepped up helping keep his team in the game in the first half. Athletic wing that attacked in the open floor, finished around the hoop, and got on the offensive glass for 14 points.
