North Oconee and St. Pius battled to the wire in a thrilling contest. Winward was paced by a 6'6” junior David "Davey" Harris, who finished with 17 points, consistently attacking his spots and scoring with authority inside. DeMatha's balanced scoring and ability to convert in transition ultimately made the difference in a closely contested matchup.   Top-15 California team Notre Dame Sherman Oaks kicked off the Classic with a win over Lake City. Navarro Bowman Jr. led the way for the Knights with a smooth 17 points, consistently getting to his spots and converting high-percentage looks. Lake City countered with 6'7” junior Jordan Carlson, who finished with 16 points and showed his ability to score inside, but it wasn't enough against Notre Dame's stacked roster. The Knights' balance and ability to protect the paint were key factors in controlling the game and securing the victory.   Mission Bay and De La Salle opened the Classic with a defensive, low-scoring affair. De La Salle's 17-point second quarter helped them build a seven-point lead by halftime, which extended to 10 heading into the fourth. However, Mission Bay came out of the break with energy, sparking an 11–2 run led by Clay Grebing, who finished with 19 points and dominated around the rim. De La Salle was unable to withstand the late surge, and Mission Bay advanced with a 47–44 win. Mariano Lopez-Aarden paced De La Salle with 12 points. Mission Bay's ability to stay poised under pressure and capitalize on transition opportunities proved critical in overcoming a slow start.   “O'Dea fell short against St. Augustine in a game defined by one standout performance. Josiah Bowman contributed 13 points for O'Dea, but it wasn't enough to keep pace.
