The Falcons set the tone early, pushing the pace and building a commanding 20-point lead by the third quarter, a margin Riverside Poly was never able to seriously threaten. Torrey Pines was led by [player_tooltip player_id='2131808' first='Tevaris' last='Green'], who finished with an efficient 33 points and seven rebounds, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Riverside Poly was paced by Ethan Williams, who scored 17 points but faced constant defensive pressure. Torrey Pines' ability to control tempo and convert in transition ultimately separated the two teams.

Defending champions JSerra narrowly escaped with a win over St. Ignatius in a tightly contested opener. [player_tooltip player_id='1956616' first='Jaden' last='Bailes'] had a standout performance, finishing with 29 points, while sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2750220' first='Ryan' last='Doane'] contributed a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. In the fourth quarter, Bailes drove down the lane, hit a key runner, and helped seal the victory despite St. Ignatius' persistent efforts. 6'4” senior Alex Mack led St. Ignatius with 20 points, showing his scoring versatility and ability to stretch the defense. JSerra's ability to execute in clutch situations and capitalize on late-game opportunities proved to be the difference in this matchup.

North Oconee and St. Pius battled to the wire in a thrilling contest. Freshman watch [player_tooltip player_id='3196324' first='Brayden' last='Wise'] led the Titans with 24 points, showcasing his scoring ability and poise under pressure. [player_tooltip player_id='2880582' first='Luke' last='Lawson'] delivered the game's clutch moment with a tip-in at the buzzer to secure the victory. [player_tooltip player_id='2046364' first='Justin' last='Wise'] added 18 points, while [player_tooltip player_id='2301427' first='Banks' last='Pourchier'] chipped in 14, providing balanced scoring for North Oconee. St. Pius was paced by captain Darrellreon Morris, who scored 17 points and consistently attacked the rim. The game highlighted North Oconee's ability to execute in high-pressure situations and the importance of finishing possessions in close contests

[player_tooltip player_id='2435361' first='Tavid' last='Johnson'] led Archbishop Mitty with an outstanding 30 points and four steals while shooting 50% from the field. The game was tightly contested throughout, with no team holding a significant lead in any quarter. Entering the fourth, the score was 47–44, but Archbishop Mitty opened the quarter with an 11–0 run to create separation. Francis Parker fought back, cutting the deficit to within two points with a minute remaining, but Mitty held strong to secure a 66–60 victory. [player_tooltip player_id='2436281' first='Kai' last='Jones'] also contributed high-energy minutes, adding nine points and five steals while providing a defensive spark. Archbishop Mitty's ability to execute in transition and force turnovers proved decisive in maintaining control down the stretch.

Ace Meeks and Daniel Abass led DeMatha to a hard-fought 67–61 victory over Winward. Meeks shot 47% from the field, knocking down three triples on his way to 25 points, while Abass was efficient at 53% from the floor, contributing 16 points and controlling the pace for DeMatha. Winward was paced by a 6'6” junior David "Davey" Harris, who finished with 17 points, consistently attacking his spots and scoring with authority inside. DeMatha's balanced scoring and ability to convert in transition ultimately made the difference in a closely contested matchup.

Top-15 California team Notre Dame Sherman Oaks kicked off the Classic with a win over Lake City. Navarro Bowman Jr. led the way for the Knights with a smooth 17 points, consistently getting to his spots and converting high-percentage looks. Lake City countered with 6'7” junior Jordan Carlson, who finished with 16 points and showed his ability to score inside, but it wasn't enough against Notre Dame's stacked roster. The Knights' balance and ability to protect the paint were key factors in controlling the game and securing the victory.

Mission Bay and De La Salle opened the Classic with a defensive, low-scoring affair. De La Salle's 17-point second quarter helped them build a seven-point lead by halftime, which extended to 10 heading into the fourth. However, Mission Bay came out of the break with energy, sparking an 11–2 run led by Clay Grebing, who finished with 19 points and dominated around the rim. De La Salle was unable to withstand the late surge, and Mission Bay advanced with a 47–44 win. Mariano Lopez-Aarden paced De La Salle with 12 points. Mission Bay's ability to stay poised under pressure and capitalize on transition opportunities proved critical in overcoming a slow start.

“O'Dea fell short against St. Augustine in a game defined by one standout performance. [player_tooltip player_id='2436296' first='Paisios' last='Polamalu'] led the way for the Saints with 18 points, controlling the game and providing a scoring spark that O'Dea couldn't counter. O'Dea carried a three-point lead after the first quarter, but the momentum quickly shifted. A dominant 24-point second quarter by St. Augustine built a 10-point lead they would maintain for the rest of the game. Josiah Bowman contributed 13 points for O'Dea, but it wasn't enough to keep pace. St. Augustine's ability to impose their size and scoring efficiency in the second quarter ultimately proved decisive in securing a comfortable win.
