I’m a versatile and well-rounded player with a strong understanding of the game. I’m a confident shooter from all spots on the floor and can score in a variety of ways. I get to the basket effectively and finish with a smooth floater or a solid layup. I play with good pace, make smart decisions, and look to impact the game on both ends of the court. I’m always working to improve and bring energy,
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a competitive, hardworking, and coachable player who brings energy and a team-first mindset. I stay confident, mentally tough, and focused in pressure moments, and I always work to lead with effort and high character.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
No But im looking forward to winning new awards and facing new challenges
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by communicating on the court and helping my teammates improve. I work hard, stay positive, and lead by example. Off the court, I try to give back by helping younger players and supporting my community whenever I can.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge I’ve faced was moving back from Somalia in 2020. Adjusting to a new environment wasn’t easy, and life has been bumpy at times. But it pushed me to work harder and stay focused. I use those challenges as motivation to keep improving and to prove to myself—and everyone around me—that I can overcome anything and succeed.
What type of college are you looking for?
I want to attend a university like the University of Michigan And Duke University because I’m focused on challenging myself academically and growing as a person. Michigan and duke has a strong community, great opportunities, and a competitive environment that pushes students to be their best. I’m working hard to earn my spot, stay disciplined, and show that I’m ready for the next level
