The conference is paced by Webster Groves, who brought home its fourth state championship in the past eight years.

THE STARTING FIVE

[player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] (Webster Groves): The 6'3" 2027 guard is back after leading the Statesmen to the Class 5 state championship. The talented lefty is a relentless downhill driver who can also shoot it from 3-point range. As a sophomore, he averaged 24 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range. He has already given a commitment to Missouri.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598824' first='Brody' last='Owen'] (Marquette): A 6'3" 2026 guard who will begin his fourth year of starting duty. He is a three-level scorer who can put up the points in bunches when he's rolling. As a junior, he averaged 17 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and nearly two steals a game. He has committed to Washburn.

[player_tooltip player_id='2117946' first='Alex' last='Komorech'] (Marquete): A 6'6" 2026 forward who made a big jump last season to become a very productive player. As a junior, he averaged 14.3 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. He was also a factor on defense with 38 blocked shots.

Jamel Foster (McCluer North): A 6'5" 2027 forward who comes to North from Hazelwood Central. He is a good athlete with a tireless motor at both ends of the court. He is an excellent offensive rebounder. He averaged seven points and six rebounds a game as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='2541253' first='Joe' last='Rauls'] (Eureka): A 6'1" 2026 guard who is one of the better shooters in the conference. Marquette is primed for an excellent year with the Inside-Outside combination of Komorech and Owen. McCluer North will also be a team to watch. The Stars won a Class 5 district championship last year and they have a good nucleus of talent which will compete hard at both ends of the floor. University City and Kirkwood both have some very promising young players.
