The Ugandan native is new to the game (has only played for the last year) but uses his athletic talents to block shots, run the floor, rebound the basketball, and finish above the rim with authority. With good positional size and a motor that always runs hot, Ekukwai has pretty impressive spatial awareness and understands where he needs to be at the defensive end of the floor to contest shots or deter drivers from attacking the paint. The finishing craft and footwork around the basket are still a work in progress but the motor and offensive rebounding ability make up for it as he is very unselfish and is always looking to pass to an open shooter if he doesn't have a good finishing angle. Intriguing name for LM/MM coaches to track.

19p 3r 3a 3s 1b vs Rutgers Prep

-Moshinski's athletic ability and motor really stood out as he blew the competition away with his activity in a matchup with Rutgers Prep. The Iona commit hit his only 3 point attempt of the game, completed putback dunks with a perfectly-timed jump, was active in passing lanes defensively, and served as a high-level lob threat in transition. Where he really shines is as a driver, using simple jabs or sweeps before explosively attacking downhill to make a play at the rim or dump off to a teammate for an easy look at the rim. Love his motor and defensive instincts as a defender that reads opposing passers well while taking calculated gambles that usually pay off with a 2-handed dunk at the other end.

-Really loved his activity in a nice win over NHA as Camara looks much more comfortable and instinctual. Camara timed his dives off-ball to the rim well to receive several backdoor bounce passes and lobs at the rim that he flushed through with two hands. He's also really improved his defensive rotations to serve as an undersized shot-blocker and rebounder under the rim for a Pallotti team that really needed someone to step up in that role. His post moves and drives to the rim have also become much more deliberate and decisive, allowing him to score before the defense can react.

20p 5r 2a 1b vs Westtown; 23p 9r 3s 3b 8/11 FG vs Bonner Prendie

-Malonga had the best stretch I've seen him play in 1-point wins over Bonner Prendie and Westtown that both saw him hit big FTs. Malonga is moving much better off the ball to get him easy baskets off of off-ball cuts, hit face up and stepback threes, finished several And1 drives to the rim, and was a dynamic shotblocker for the Rams. He has improved his attention to detail at the defensive end of the floor and is seemingly more and more capable of being a dynamic/switchable defender that can plug a lot of holes in a defense. Came away most impressed by how much his handle is improved as he made some plays off the bounce that I hadn't seen him make before this weekend. Now I just want to see his hip mobility and back foot burst to improve to take advantage of his long strides and size as a slasher. Huge upside here as a longterm prospect but it's coming together nicely for Malonga in new threads with the Rams

7p 4r 2a

-Was shocked when I learned how young this Westtown prospect is as Lagerkvist has the IQ/feel to really belong on a floor with older players. He served as a great connector for Westtown in the halfcourt, making cross-court skip passes to shift the defense or making the simply one-more pass for an open shot. He moves well off the ball and is capable of find teammates off the bounce as his handle/footwork are advanced for his age. He knocked down an open 3 from the wing, used that shooting gravity the next possession to up fake a defender in the air and take one dribble before rifling a crosscourt dime that led to an open 3, and executed a perfect euro step in transition to hit a floater off the window that showed his skill level. With great positional size and a growing skill base, I like his long term upside as a skilled wing that can play with pretty much anyone.

11p 3a vs West Nottingham

-Probably the most dynamic athlete that I saw this weekend, Stewart showed off an impressive set of physical tools in a tight game with WNA. He started it out with a great backdoor cut from the corner to receive the bounce pass and throw down a 1-handed spike on a defender, constantly put pressure on the defense by flying past closeouts, and flew around defensively--often guarding three different players in one possession. His three assists in the early going pushed Westtown out to an early lead, showing his ability to use his slashing prowess to get two feet in the paint and create for others. With great positional size and all the athletic tools to be successful, he will be an intriguing prospect to track in 2027.
