Former IHSA Forwards and Posts at College of DuPage Jamboree

Here is a look at the Forwards who competed at a high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Grantas Sakenis – Moraine Valley (Andrew) – 6'9</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6-foot-9 big man is a load in the paint. Sakenis has noticeably slimmed down and looks more mobile and athletic than before. His post play stood out showing great footwork and soft hands around the basket. At times he played so well that he demanded double teams. Expect him to be a major factor for the Cyclones this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Chikasi Ofoma – Waubonsee CC (Curie) – 6'5</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ofoma is a mobile forward who's added significant strength to his game. He continues to excel as a playmaker from the frontcourt and remains tough to stop when attacking downhill. At 6'5, he's strong enough to finish through contact and absorb bumps on his way to the rim. Defensively Ofoma controls space and consistently cleans the glass. He's poised for a breakout sophomore season with the Chiefs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Vic Brown – Prairie State (Rich Township) – 6'8</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a rugged rebounder who made his mark cleaning up the offensive glass. He moves well for his size and has the ability to run the floor and score in transition. If he brings a consistent high motor Brown will be a key piece for Prairie State this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Santana Flowers – Kankakee CC (Bloom) – 6'5</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Flowers has filled out physically since his high school days at Bloom and now plays with more strength and confidence. He's a dependable rebounder and a reliable interior scorer who finishes everything around the basket. A true “junkyard dog” type of player, Flowers brings toughness and sound defensive instincts. He's expected to step into a leadership role for the Cavaliers this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jaden Clark – Mid Michigan CC (Bloom) – 6'6</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clark is a bouncy wing with three-level scoring ability. He can create offense from the perimeter using quick straight-line drives to attack the rim. His energy and athleticism make him a spark plug who could become a valuable steal for Division II programs down the line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jeremiah Lesure – Morton CC (St. Laurence) – 6'6</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lesure is an active, long, and springy wing who finally gets a chance to showcase his game after missing his senior season at St. Laurence. He made his presence felt with multiple transition dunks and defensive plays using his length to generate steals and contest shots at the rim. Lesure adds major athleticism and size to a talented Morton squad that looks primed to make a run at Nationals in March.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
