Rising Stars: Arkansas and Louisiana Athletes Compete

He is more agile than a year ago and has also added more lean muscle to his frame. His touch around the rim has improved and he is anticipating plays on the defensive end to deter guards and players hoping to score in the paint. He is a confident player with a clip from three. He is a poised hooper with great basketball instincts and it did not take long for him to establish himself as one of the top players in the gym. He handles the ball at a high level, constantly looks for open teammates, shoots the ball at a high level and defends as well. He was electric at the Prep Hoops Sophomore showcase and that continued at the Hoopfest Showcase. The difference in this days performance was him demonstrating his ability to consistently knock down the three ball. Wilson is making a name for himself not just based on skill, but with energy and effort. He is an intense player that competes with visible joy. At 6"3 he plays the game with a point guards IQ, but scores like a wing. His size makes him tough to guard, and with each showcase his shot making ability improves. He is elite with the ball in his hands, and his muscular frame makes him a mismatch for most guards especially when he gets downhill. G is a high energy, High IQ player that wins with effort and energy. He is not going to spend a lot of time with the ball in his hands, but he will move to open spaces, rebound, rim run and defend. He does each of these at a high level, and his athleticism accentuate each one of them.
