Expert Analysis
Donald Tatum | Prep Hoops Scout
Braylen has been one of the summer surprises considering he was not on the prep hoops radar until a month ago. He was electric at the Prep Hoops Sophomore showcase and that continued at the Hoopfest Showcase. The difference in this days performance was him demonstrating his ability to consistently knock down the three ball. Wilson is making a name for himself not just based on skill, but with energy and effort. He is an intense player that competes with visible joy. Shreve is loaded with gaurds and Wilson fits right in.

was the first player at the camp to catch my eye, and it was simply because of his energy. He was on 10 at the start of the 3 on 3 and he maintained that energy the entire showcase. As a sophomore earning minutes will be tough at Shreve, but there is no doubt that if his number is called, he will be ready. Wilson is a hooper. Wilson is a competitor. Wilson is everything that you want in a young player. He played hard and saw success and faced challenges, but his energy never shifted. He is a three-level scorer that uses his skill based on situations. He competes on both sides of the ball and excels on both ends. Two thumbs up for this talented player.

Wilson was one of the most vocal players in the gym, constantly talking on both ends and bringing energy every possession. Offensively, he knocked down timely shots and played with a fearless approach. Defensively, he embraced the challenge of guarding the opposing team’s best scorer and never backed down. What makes Wilson stand out is his competitive fire — he’s a gamer who thrives in tough matchups and raises his play when challenged. This was a breakout showing for him, and his mix of confidence, toughness, and shot-making makes him a player to watch moving forward.
