It’s often said in the scouting community that bigs tend to develop later, so in evaluating young frontcourt prospects it’s important to identify those who possess the long-term building blocks for higher levels if things come together as planned. Enter Ayual, a towering rim-runner by way of South Sudan who’s been raised mostly in the Boston area. The budding big man impressed on Sunday with his ability to run the floor and be a factor at both rims, showing sturdy hands as a finisher offensively and signs of natural timing as a shot-blocker. He’ll have to work to add strength and refine his skillset over time but the long-term ceiling appears high with the foundation Ayual already shows.
