Jenkins, a guard out of Catholic Memorial in Massachusetts, enters the rankings on the heels of an impressive sophomore season in the MIAA. The 5’10” guard is a true table-setter, playing with great pace in the open floor and a dynamic first step off the bounce. He does a great job of creating space with his dribble, allowing him to get into his stepback game as a shooter or to find windows as a passer. He’s plays with creativity as a faciliator and has good lower body strength that allows him to play through contact as a driver. He’ll run this spring and summer with Dana Barros Basketball Club.

Jenkins is only a sophomore, but the 5-foot-10 guard has what it takes to make a real statement in the MIAA playoffs. I’ve seen him rise to the occasion again and again—whether it be with athletic takes to the rim or deep makes from three—and he can also help his teammates score when the defense overplays him. Jenkins is going to come to play when the games matter the most, I can guarantee you that.

With Jenkins back in the lineup, Catholic Memorial has the talent to beat any team in the entire state. The 5-foot-10 guard had been out for awhile with an injury, but he hasn’t lost a step and has already raised CM’s level of play in his time back. In wins against Attleboro and St. John’s Prep recently, the sophomore came up clutch with big time shots when it mattered most. He has a knack for rising to the occasion, and he does so from all spots on the floor; he can make shots from the mid range and three, and he’s an electric finisher with contact at the hoop. He’s just the ultimate hooper who wants all the smoke at all times, and he’s one of the better players in the entire MIAA as a sophomore. Yeah, I said it. Can’t wait to see how he helps CM contend.

Jenkins has been out of the mix for a bit due to a hand/wrist injury, but the 5-foot-10 guard is one of the more exciting underclassmen scorers in the MIAA. He can get hot at any moment and when his shot is falling from three and he’s feeling himself, he can go on some pretty special shooting/scoring runs. Jenkins should be a key cog for a really solid Catholic Memorial team that he’ll probably be able to facilitate for a bit more than he can for his Dana Barros AAU team. Some added strength and height would be huge for his game, too, but he’s skilled and tough enough to light it up.
