Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase – Team 10 Evaluations

Not only is it a great opportunity for our staff to get an early evaluation of some of the most talented freshmen before the begin their high school career, but it also serves as an important evaluation/recruiting tool for our state's many great AAU programs. This year we welcomed in over 100 of the best Class of 2029 prospects here in Indiana. Confident shooter with a smooth stroke that didn't need much space to get it off. Quick feet, active hands, and a high motor fueled his performance as one of the better on ball defenders I was able to see at camp. Good athlete that guarded multiple positions on the floor defensively while being aggressive on the offensive end. Was able to get in the lane where he was on balance and showed his soft touch on his midrange jumper. Confident lead guard that balanced scoring and facilitating really well. Operated the pick and roll aggressively coming off the screen and turning the corner to get in the lane where he was able to play through contact and finish while also being unselfish finding teammates for easy looks. Off the ball, he was a confident catch and shoot threat that hit his open looks. Also showed how valuable he was as a rebounder from the guard spot. Really good rebounder on both ends of the floor. Showed he can finish through contact offensively while being comfortable grabbing defensive rebounds and leading the break himself. Smooth athlete that was able to play all over the floor. Was really good driving matchups from the perimeter and finishing going right. High motor and high IQ player that defends and rebounds at a high level. JP wasn't the quickest or most athletic player at camp, but he used his physical frame and high IQ to get to his spots and score efficiently all over the floor. Really good shooter off the catch. Also was able to score inside with his movement and cuts off the ball. Solid rebounder on both ends. Plays both sides of the ball with a lot of confidence. Vocal leader on the defensive end. Showed his versatility being able to guard multiple positions and rebound well outside of his area.
