Expert Analysis
Logan Greenwell | Prep Hoops Scout
Intriguingly skilled wing with an unorthodox game, and I mean that in a positive way. JP wasn’t the quickest or most athletic player at camp, but he used his physical frame and high IQ to get to his spots and score efficiently all over the floor. Really good shooter off the catch. Also was able to score inside with his movement and cuts off the ball. Solid rebounder on both ends. Has the ability to rip and run off the defensive glass and lead the break and show his good court vision.

Events like this are very important for prospects from small schools around the state. It is a great way to compare yourself against peers you may not see otherwise and is a good chance for evaluators to see you against a high level of competition. Siltz certainly made a believer out of us with his play on Sunday. The 6’2″ wing/forward from Henryville High School was consistently productive with a well-rounded offensive game. He uses a series of shot fakes, spin moves, and change of pace to keep the defense off balance and get to where he wants to go on the floor.

Here is what we said recently about Siltz when highlighting him as one of the top names to know in Indiana’s incoming Class of 2029…
“Yet another very good incoming freshmen down in the southern Indiana, Siltz is one we have hard about for awhile now. He is a long, fluid guard that will likely put up some very big scoring numbers at Class 1A Henryville. Siltz has already signed up for the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase in September and we look forward to evaluating him further at our big event.”
