Smith had a great showing at the Rising Stars Showcase, with a crossover move that had the crowd on its feet and arguably the play of the Showcase. Smith would lead all scorers in his team’s semifinal loss with 15 points, showing he can score the ball from 3-levels. Smith has dynamic handles, shifty moves to get his defender off balance, good lift and body control on the jumper, with accuracy from the mid-range to the 3-point line, and a crafty scorer around the basket, using the euro-step, reverse, and up-and-under lay-ups to score among height. Smith has active hands on defense, alters shots on the wing, has the timing and reaction to deflect passes, jump passing lanes, or poke the ball out to get out and score in transition. 

He has size and strength with good bounce around the rim to finish with dunks at times. He powers up off two feet for points and rebounds. He’s got improving handles that allows him to utilize one or two dribble drive moves, using spin moves and other ways to finish around the rim. He’s got the hops to go get lobs, and an improving mid-range jumper with lift.

He’s a transfer, steps right into a starting role for one of Sac’s better teams. He has an improving overall skill set, plays with confidence. He has the strength and moves to get points in the paint, finish around the rim in traffic, he might go get a lob with his hops. He can operate along the perimeter, solid handles and body for strong drives into the paint, he gets good lift on the mid-range, can hit the 3ptr. He’ll help rebound, defend different positions.
