How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Scoring-first guard, strong perimeter shooter. At around 5′10″ and playing both guard slots (SG/PG), Wilson has drawn attention as a “very good perimeter-shooting threat.” Scouts note he gets his shot off very quickly, has good footwork, and can “extend his range a few feet beyond the arc.”

Garrett Wilson plays with a hard-nosed, competitive edge that sets him apart. He brings a relentless work ethic to everything he does—whether it’s practice, workouts, or game day. Garrett doesn’t shy away from big moments or tough matchups; instead, he embraces them. He’s the type of player who responds to pressure with focus, grit, and determination.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Garrett has built a reputation for outworking people. Early mornings, extra reps, and constant skill development have given him a foundation of discipline that shows up in both practice and game play. He’s developed a tough, fearless mentality. Garrett doesn’t shy away from physical play, defensive pressure, or big-game moments. He thrives on competition and uses it to raise his level.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Close games, tough losses, and learning curves have helped Garrett grow thicker skin and respond with maturity. He’s learning how to stay composed, bounce back quickly, and stay locked in.

What type of college are you looking for?

He wants to join a team that values hard work, toughness, and player development—somewhere he can earn his role, contribute consistently, and compete at a high level. Just as important, Garrett is looking for an academic environment that will set him up for long-term success. He understands that basketball is part of his journey, not his entire identity, and he wants an education for his future.

Wilson proved himself as a very good perimeter shooting threat at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 5’10” guard is at his best when playing off of the ball where he can run off of screens and spot up as a catch-and-shoot threat. He gets his shot off quickly, has good footwork, and can extend his range a few feet beyond the arc. The South Central (Elizabeth) High School prospect slid over and played some point guard, but it was the shot-making that really stood out and makes Wilson a prospect to follow in the years to come.
