Shane’s Unsigned Upperclassmen – Midwest Live

The best high school basketball teams in Ohio and surrounding states are all in one gym and competing for the last weekend of June. He is a confident player who is mature beyond his years on the court. You can tell the coach has trust in him with the ball in his hands. He does a good job of initiating the offense but also creating it. He has the ball on a string and always keeps his head up when handling it. Pressure doesn't get to him. He also has great stamina. He is 6'8 and an extremely strong and physical player. He moves well, beats you to the block, and posts up well. He is great in the dunker position and finishing strong and towards the rim. He is a monster on the glass because of his relentless effort. When he was out of the game, you felt the game's momentum shift. Jones is a great scorer with the ball in his hands. He is such a skilled player that he seems to never know what he is doing with the ball. He just takes what the defense gives him and gets buckets that way. He is easy to play with because of his ability to read the game and defense. He is becoming more efficient with his moves and buckets. He does not dribble as much but scores even more. His big and physical build is a tough guard that most can not match up with. The game is slowing down for him. He has a good touch around the rim. He did not play his best game in the first half, but when Lima Shawnee needed him, he took over. When Bertke takes over, it is highly impressive to watch. Simply put, every shot goes in. He finished stronger and more aggressively around the rim. He was seeking contact. He then hit a couple of threes in rhythm. When he gets his feet set and is in a sort of offensive rhythm, just go grab it out of the rim.
