Huffmyer helped the Saints jump out to an early lead with a 10-point opening quarter. The physicality and effort brough by the senior early on, helped to set the tone for the rest of the team. The Saints took advantage of Bethany turnovers early and often to help create separation. Huffmyer showed tremendous defensive versatility, guarding multiple positions and pressuring perimeter passes. Offensively, he was seemingly always under control throughout the evening. His ability to attack the paint and not get sped up was a constant for his squad. At 6’3″, he was also able to elevate on the perimeter and shoot over defenders on multiple occasions. Huffymer finished the evening with 15 points.

Huffmyer has been a handful off the bounce all season, and that was the case in a tough battle against OCA. What made his scoring more impressive is OCA has some size and strength at the rim. The OCS senior plays under control, knowing when to go for speed and power to finish. Or slow down with head fakes and pump fakes to get defenders off balanced. Had a couple impressive blocks on defense, further showcasing his battler mentality around the rim.

One of the more underrated scorers in the senior class. Was a big reason why the Saints raced out to a good lead over Washington in the semifinals. Put the defense in a spin cycle with one transition drive and drained a buzzer beater to end the first half. His scoring chops will be put to the test tonight as he faces 2A juggernaut Dale in the title of the Boomarange classic. Looking forward to watching him in a State Tournament quality match up.
