After two months of going strong in the gym the spring grassroots season has officially come to an end. We capped things off in Indiana with our State Tournament featuring some of the best Prep Hoops Circuit teams from the state along with a few from the surrounding area. This event served as a final look at prospects in a grassroots setting until the reconvene with their teams in July. As we continue to debrief from the event it is now time to highlight some of the top performers from each age division. Let's begin dive in now with the best 17u prospects at the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament.

Everything this 6'0″ point guard does contributes to winning. Feldman was shooting it well from three-point range while also controlling the offense in all facets for [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] Black. He is a big reason why they advanced play in the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament championship game on Sunday. The Roncalli High School rising senior is under control with the ball in his hands, displays great court vision, and makes good decisions without turning the ball over. He is a true floor general that you can trust with the ball in his hands.

Ferguson is a very talented playmaker who should make his way on to the watch list for small college programs in June and July. The under-the-radar Columbus North High School guard is a knockdown three-point shooter and displayed high-level court vision and passing ability at the Indiana State Tournament. He is a player that you can turn the keys of the offense over to and trust him to run the show. The constant threat that he poses as a shooter, including off of the dribble, makes it very hard for defenders to guard him on the perimeter.

Johnson III turned in one of the most impressive individual performances of the day on Saturday going off for 31 points to lead 502 Elite to a 71-49 win over [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] Red. He was scoring it off of the dribble from all over the floor including deep pull-up three-point shots and tough pull-ups in the mid-range. His ability to create separation off of the bounce and then elevate into his shot was very impressive. Johnson III's playmaking ability led his team to a third place finish on the weekend.

Knight's toughness in the backcourt laid the foundation for what made the [program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'] 17u squad so successful throughout the weekend. Despite playing up a year, this 5'10" guard from MacArthur High School in Illinois had no issue keeping up athletically and did a great job of playing through contact as a finisher at the end of his drives. He was a relentless driver, creative scorer, and consistently involved in the rebounding effort. His tenacity really stood out.

Clearly the most talented unsigned senior at the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament, Kramer turned in a few excellent individual performances for 502 Elite. He is a guard with excellent positional size on the perimeter which allowed him to physically overmatch opposing guards and also led to him being very disruptive defensively. The Holy Cross product from Louisville will be an intriguing college prospect to follow.

The physicality and versatility that Kriesant brought to the floor for [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] Black 17u was a big part of their run to the Indiana State Tournament championship game. The Columbus North High School product showcased his ability to stretch the floor out beyond the arc and score inside in the post. His individual performance in the semifinals against 502 Elite was very impressive to watch.

A consistent top performer at Prep Hoops Circuit events, Sims was shooting it in from three-point range as usual on Saturday at the Indiana State Tournament. The talented 6'0″ guard scored 24 points while dishing out 5 assists in their first game and then had 20 points in their second victory of the day. [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] White fell in the semifinals of the Indiana State Tournament, but it was yet another strong showing for the Pendleton Heights High School guard.

It didn't take long to identify Spinner as one of the most talented prospects in the gym at the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club. Ranked #58 in Illinois' Class of 2027, the Central A&M High School star led his team to a 17u Indiana State Tournament title while playing up a year. Spinner was a high-percentage shot-maker, excellent passer, and all-around playmaker throughout the event. His game translates to winning as proven by the [program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'] taking home the title.
