Going deep on ETG 16U

ETG Midwest 16U had their best weekend yet at the Omaha Session of the Adidas 3SSB Circuit last weekend. Here are my thoughts on all the players for ETG.    [player_tooltip player_id='2859620' first='London' last='Dada'] has exploded onto the scene this summer.   He came into the weekend as a top 15 scorer on the circuit averaging 18 points per game on 62% shooting and 57% shooting from deep on 28 attempts.   Dada is a knock down shooter, every time he got an open look it felt like it was going in. He is great off the catch in part thanks to his shot prep. Off the dribble he has a pull up and a go to step back that he can shoot over defenders. This was on full display in his five three-point performance against Southern Assault.   While he is a great shooter his low release point can be blocked and bothered by bigger defenders.   He is active on defense using his length to block shots and his IQ to pick off passes in the back of press. London has active hands in general on defense causing deflections often.   He is a solid rebounder for his frame which allowed him to play at center over the weekend.   His best game came against the Arkansas Hawks where he scored 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, one block, two steals and four made threes.      [player_tooltip player_id='2757817' first='Lee' last='Robinson'] had himself a weekend in Omaha displaying his two-way ability.   Robinson is a really good offensive player, but he is a great defender who sees the game a second faster than most on that end. He took the most challenging assignment at times and still caused havoc as a help defender.   He digs for steals, causes defenders to pick up their dribble prematurely, reads passing lanes and gets the occasional block.   On offense Robinson has a super creative handle and an extra gear speed wise that allow him to navigate tight spaces and access driving lanes unavailable to others. He has good vision and is an accurate and willing passer.   Robinson has also improved as a shooter and is someone you have to step out on.   Lee gets downhill seemingly at will where he has a host of inside hand, floaters and other awkward finishes around the rim. He could stand to use his left hand more as it would open up even more options for him. He has plenty of time to develop it though as he is playing up a year on the circuit. He showed a knack for cutting at the right time, flashing to the rim and finding openings in the defense. Jack had success using his touch to finish around the rim.   Chambers is a talented offensive rebounder; he uses his height and length to get his team extra possessions.   He is a solid defender whose length allows him to effectively contest shots and guard multiple positions.   His best game came against New Heights NYC where he tallied 10 points three rebounds two rebounds three blocks and a steal.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/aidanwheelock/status/1828054941593751812 </div></figure>     Kellen Murphy had a strong end to the weekend after stringing together two of his best performances of the summer in ETG's last two games.   Murphy is really good as a second or third guard option next to more ball dominant guards. His ability to knock down catch and shoot jumpers is his biggest strength at the moment. Kellen can get hot from deep and shoot it with range forcing defenses to stay attached to him. He can shoot off the dribble however, his form is more suited for catch and shoot situations.   He can also break down the defense and get to the rim when he needs to. Murphy is also solid passer who doesn't hold onto the ball too long and keeps the offense moving. He finds shooters for kick out passes and can make dump off passes to big men.   On defense he held up well however, there is room for him to be even more impactful on that side.   Kellen's best game came in a win over Open Gym Premier where he scored 16 points on four made threes, two rebounds, three assists and one steal.        Evan Greenfield plays hard and with a constat energy that makes it hard to take him out the game. He stuffs the stat sheet doing a little bit of everything for ETG at times.   Greenfield is a good shooter who is reliable in catch and shoot situations. He didn't have his best shooting weekend; however, he still found ways to affect the game.   Evan is a good ball handler who navigates the press well and doesn't turn it over often. He can play both on and off the ball thanks to his cutting ability and his ability to finish at the rim. He is also able to use his athleticism to beat defenders off the dribble and collapse the defense.   Evan is a solid passer who finds teammates in the open court consistently.   He is aggressive on both sides of the ball. On defense he pesters ball handlers picking up 94 feet and getting several on ball steals. Evan is also a great rebounder for a guard on both offense and defense. Moore had a tight crafty handle and good speed that allows him to get past defenders. Tra is a good finisher once he gets downhill that often finds creative ways to navigate traffic down low.   He is a solid shooter especially off the catch who can also make shots off the dribble. Moore makes quick decisive decisions with the ball allowing him to hit driving lanes or kick to open teammates on time.   On defense he is often in good position and like many of his teammates is a threat to take the ball away from the offense.   Moore's best game came against Southern Assault where he scored 14 points five rebounds and three assist on two made threes in the teams win.   <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2RubjC">http://www.hudl.com/v/2RubjC</a>     [player_tooltip player_id='2194400' first='Jackson' last='Smith'] is a physical forward who does a little bit of everything for ETG. He came into the weekend after receiving 16U first team Battle of the Lakes honors the weekend before.   Smith showcased his finishing ability at times last weekend and when he couldn't convert at the rim he often got to the line. Jackson is a capable shooter however, he could be more consistent in this area of his game.   On defense he guarded multiple positions and read passing lanes for steals in the back end of ETG's press. His frame allows him to easily switch up and down and his physicality allows him to wall up effectively on drives. Smith is hard to keep off the glass on both ends of the floor when he puts his mind to it.
