SEAL BEACH — The Puma-sponsored circuit made a stop at AIM Sports Complex in Seal Beach last weekend and brought the majority of its PRO 16 League teams to the Southland. We were in attendance all day Saturday and below are the top guards we saw.

Brady Hennig | 2026 | Select Basketball

Hennig comes from a good basketball bloodline as his older brother, Trevor, turned in a strong freshman campaign at Weber State last season. Brady is similar to his brother in that he is a lethal three-point shooter off the catch with deep range and a quick release. The younger Hennig also showed some vertical pop off the floor on drives where he finished above the rim.

Camarion Bead | 2026 | AAO Flight

Bead is as solid of a defender as you'll find at the high school level. The 6-foot-1 point guard is always in a low defensive stands, uses his strong frame to meet drives with physicality and has the lateral speed to pressure a ball-handler and contain the ball. Offensively, Bead looks to work the ball around to his teammates but is a capable downhill driver and finisher through contact.

DeMarcus Surratt | 2026 | Kentucky Basketball Club | Pictured

Surratt was one of the more explosive athletes in the gym Saturday. The 6-foot-3 guard was best in transition settings where he used his speed with the ball, aggressive downhill attacking mentality and his ability to elevate over rim protectors to finish at the cup. Surratt knocked down a handful of perimeter jumpers but was most effective when ripping and driving by defenders for high percentage finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956524' first='Isaiah' last='Rogers'] | 2026 | BTI United

Rogers is one of the premier scoring guards in Southern California's 2026 class, and while he can still fill it up with perimeter jumpers and smooth drives to the rim, he is growing as a decision-maker with more on-ball responsibility for BTI United. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is most comfortable hunting his spots for mid-range jumpers off the bounce or step-back/side-step three's off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956504' first='Joe' last='Sterling'] | 2026 | Team CPSA

Sterling is another highly-regarded scorer in Southern California and the West Coast at-large and things were no different at PRO16. The 6-foot-3 combo guard used his basketball IQ, footwork and ability to manipulate defenders with the dribble to create space and earn clean looks to get off his perimeter jump shot. Sterling is also a savvy scorer inside the three-point line with his balanced mid-range jumper and ability to post smaller defenders and hit fadeaway jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] | 2026 | High Major

House was probably the most dynamic all-around player we watched Saturday. At 6-feet-3 with quick-twitch speed and athleticism, House is a blur in transition settings and can score in a variety of ways in the open court from downhill drives and above the rim finishes to pull-up jumpers from mid-range and deep three-point range. One thing that always stands out about House, and did again Saturday, was how much energy, passion and effort he brings to the floor.

Kamden McGilveary | 2026 | YGC

There were few prospects in the gym who could match McGilveary's end-to-end speed with the ball in his hands. The 6-footer out of Crowley high school in Texas pushed the tempo at breakneck speed but remained under control in transition and made smart decisions with the ball. McGilveary's ability to score at the rim forced defenders to honor his paint touches which allowed him to find open shooters or drop the ball off to one of his big men for easy finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782699' first='Quincy' last='Wadley'] | 2026 | Team Museum

The game comes easy to Wadley who, at 6-feet-5, has the total offensive package at the combo guard position. The AZ Compass Prep junior has fluid shooting mechanics both off the catch and off the bounce, uses ball screens to get to a balanced mid-range jumper or at-rim finish and plays fundamentally off of two feet when driving into a crowded space in the lane.
