He plays with a lot of confidence and consistently knocked down shots from the perimeter. Lies also drives to the cup and makes difficult finishes. Perhaps his best highlight of the weekend was when he dropped a defender when he got out in transition. As a defender, he gets scrappy in the paint and battles for rebounds. On offense, he outworks his opponents and utilizes goods footwork to get his shots off. He displayed a quality stroke for a big man, and he had good touch around the rim too. I also noticed him making plays on defense and he covered his man well. On offense, he was attacking the rim with a full head of steam and consistently burned defenders. He also had a very impressive baseline drive that he finished with a monster slam. He jumps almost effortlessly and put back a few missed shots by either tipping the ball in or dunking it. Kuir was defending at a high level and his wingspan is an issue for opponents.
