Holland found a way to contribute to a stacked state championship roster as a freshman last year playing mostly spot minutes but being more than capable for the challenge with his responsibilities growing as the year went along. This season he’s been an unbelievable compliment next to the D1 upperclassmen backcourt of Ayden Johnson Ayden Johnson 5'11" | PG Caldwell Academy | 2026 State NC and King Kendrick King Kendrick 6'1" | PG Caldwell Academy | 2027 State #151 Nation NC . Holland is a confident outside shooter with the athleticism to attack closeouts and make plays at the rim. Holland plays with a great combination of confidence and fearlessness that you love to see from a Sophomore. He’ll continue to progress throughout the course of the season and beyond with Caldwell hoping to defend that NCISAA 2A title.

-Holland had some great moments as a steady floor general that consistently beat his matchup to spots on layup attempts, to collect 50/50 balls, and to force dribble pick-ups at the defensive end of the floor. Holland showed that he can shoot the ball but also didn’t settle for jumpers, attacking hard closeouts effectively from both sides of the floor to force the defense to rotate. Holland also does a good job of turning and sprinting to cut off an opponent’s drive to the rim, walling up effectively with his hands up in the air to avoid getting whistled for block fouls while pestering the ballhandler to give it up to a defender. With high-level IQ and good positional size to pair with a balanced skillbase, he can also thrive both on or off the ball as a primary or secondary play-maker that executed timely passing reads in the halfcourt.

Rounding out the NC Standouts from Saturday in Rock Hill is Trevor Holland Trevor Holland 6'4" | CG Caldwell Academy | 2028 State NC . Holland had an impressive scoring outing in a big win over 3SSB’s Upward Stars, going for 26 points. He scored at all three levels, using his handle to get downhill, athleticism to finish at the rim, and jump shooting ability to pull up or spot up. Trevor is very crafty in the paint and can finish around shot blockers or over them with floaters. Holland is also a pest on the defensive end and tallied 3 steals forcing many more tough shots.
