Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Solheim did a really good job for this Team Loaded South 16u group as a forward that blends his high skill level with his activity to provide a ton of production for this group. On the offensive end, Solheim is consistently crashing the glass and earning extra possessions for his team, often finishing them himself. Solheim is comfortable making decisions with the basketball as he’s really good in short roll situations. He’s got the ability to make outside shots as well, only making him a more versatile player. Solheim plays with a super high level of activity at all times and that is exactly what was on display in Rock Hill last weekend. He looks good with this new group and is hopefully used as more of a feature option in the front-court because his game on full display will lead to more and more coaches reaching out soon.

Solheim is a very interesting prospect with great size + the ability to play all over the floor in different spots. Solheim spaces the floor in multiple ways as he can knock down outside shots along with being a real lob threat. He’s going to be running with Team CP3 EYBL 16u this spring/summer and should be able to provide them with a really high quality front-court option. He was a standout performer at the On The Radar Carolina Opening this past weekend. Solheim’s undeniable production, two way versatility, and remaining untapped upside make him one of the more intriguing prospects in NC’s stacked 2028 class and we’ll be sure to track him closely moving forward as that rankings update is imminent!

Solheim is an emerging name to get to know out of Northwest Guilford; he’s a consummate power forward presence who’s shown he can hold his own rebounding and operating in the paint as a rim protector; had a strong freshman year with 8.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 1.4 bpg on 59 percent shooting; underrated athletic presence who’s emerging as quite the anchor in the 2028 rankings

Solheim checks in at No. 48 overall and the No. 6 ranked power forward prospect out of Northwest Guilford High. He’s an active presence at 6-foot-5 who’s shown he can fly around on both ends of the floor and make things happen. He can fill it up in a variety of ways scoring then can alter shots and be a presence in the paint defensively, rebounding the ball and altering shots.

Solheim is a new addition to the 2028 Watch List to keep an eye on with Northwest Guilford. He’s shown flashes of his potential as a double-double machine already with an early 21-point, 10-rebound performance against Parkland in an early November victory for the Vikings. He’s a sizeable prospect to keep an eye on in the frontcourt and in the 2028 class.
