How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my gameplay style as versatile, as I am willing to guard any position if necessary and I can be a scorer or a playmaker depending on my matchup.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am very driven and am always striving to be better. I am open to constructive criticism at any time and I focus on trying to grow from it. I support my teammates and aim to make them the best versions of themselves.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am currently on my schools grad planning committee.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed leadership skills through coaching Jr. NBA, my high school’s senior girls basketball team, and as an assistant player coach for high school basketball team. I have also developed experience in community service by helping write a grant proposal that secured nearly $400,000 for the construction of an outdoor multi-sport court for my home town as a part of my co-op placement.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
A significant challenge I have faced involved me fracturing my finger resulting in surgery. This caused me to sit out my grade 11 basketball season, leaving me devastated and doubtful for my future in basketball. Despite this, I kept moving forward and continued to practice and train. This injury helped me build the resilience to come back stronger than I was before.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that has a good business program and that will allow me to continue playing basketball.
