The Future is Now! 2028s and 2029s to Track

Oklahoma's headliner for the Class of 2028 has always played the game with an advanced feel. Skilled handles, fantastic vision and scoring punch when needed. Complete with an infectious energy that his teammates for LEGYNDS 15U seem to thrive and feed off. Especially now as his bounce is starting to fully come in, providing rim rattling highlights at the rim. They're an uptempo and athletic bunch, with Douglas at the controls as the ringleader, table setter and scorer himself.   There's hard to pinpoint a weakness in the talented youngsters' game. After a touch and go freshman season, "Bubba D" is cleared for take off with a national schedule that heats up in May.     One thing is certain after this spring, Black is fearless when it comes to attempting to protect the rim or punch it home himself. Had a game where he got punched on. But he quickly shook it off and delivered a rim rattling slam of his own. Love the signs of short memory, complete with a competitive mindset.   Starting to live on the rim in transition, with a variety of slams. Good handles to navigate traffic when pushing it. In the halfcourt, Black is a good spot up threat from three as well. There's lots to like about the well rounded game for the athletic youngster.     The rising eastern Oklahoma standout has played up with the 17U Hoyas and never looked out of place. In fact, he seemed to process the game quicker than a lot of the opposition. Outstanding handles and great vision allows him to thrive as a set up man. While also still finding time to get a bucket or two. Especially with his microwave ability to string together multiple off the dribble threes in a hurry. Smooth and in control, exciting young guard.     After finding his spots to score, especially as spot up threat as a freshman, Buckingham is making a push this spring to expand his all around game. Which should set the stage for a bigger high school role next winter. He's starting to have more pace with the ball in his hands. He's looking more dangerous off the bounce, getting to the mid-range and even making some crafty passes off the bounce. With some sneaky suddenness to his game, Buckingham has a chance to fill it up from all over the court at the 15U level.     Incoming 405 freshman who can already fill it up from deep. Saw him play more off the ball in a weekend viewing, where he's lights out with a quick, smooth release. Capable off the dribble as well, with textbook footwork and handles on drives. Even getting close to punching it home with authority in transition when he's given a clear lane. Very intriguing all around scoring guard.   Needless to say, Young has a famous last name with an older brother in the NBA and a father who was a bucket in the Big 12. He has a very unique path for the young prospect because of these factors. But the talent and his own mindset are there for him to blaze his own trail.     Pinder has been playing against older players and competition all over the country for years now. Which made it look like the game was in slow-mo for him playing against his age group. With outstanding ball handling ability and vision that seems to include eyes in the back of his head, Pinder often settled into the role of set up man. Which he distributed passes with pintpoint accuracy, complete with "how did he see that?" type passes. Still has a great jumper and a variety of finishing moves around the rim. Very promising prospect, who is about to officially begin his high school career with a very high skill level and feel for the game.
