In our three years attending JamFest in Pittsburgh, this year was by far the most talented rosters, the most college coaches and biggest crowds. While we were there, we were able to check in on lots of WV 2026's and watch their games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211906' first='Eli' last='Sancomb'] was the floor leader last weekend while playing with WV Gold's top roster which is comprised of mostly out of state players with the exception of three including Sancomb. As you'd expect he was in full control of every possession and commanded the court. We were pleased that his aggressiveness on offense has continued since school season ended and he was working for paint touches and getting solid looks. As many college coaches that were in attendance you'd expect an offer or two to result from that event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2303399' first='Anden' last='Santamaria'] had a crowd of coaches gathering to watch at just about every game. We thought he showed excellent athleticism as well as skill. Where he lacked in brute strength he made up for in basketball IQ. He did a great job on defense contesting shots at the rim and staying active to aggressively rebound on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2462309' first='Brody' last='Hamric'] showed some things we were never able to see on film or via livestream. One was his high level of lateral movement while the other was just raw strength which is apparent from his physique when you see Hamric in person. Hamric drew some tough defensive assignments against teams with big post type players which he defended beautifully not giving up any ground and making them uncomfortable on the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2164534' first='Waylon' last='Colistra'] was relentless against some stiff competition while battling bigs his size and bigger. We were able to see him step out and hit some threes and were pleased to see how hard he battled in the paint. The physicality of those games were no joke and Colistra did a helluva job holding his own for WV Gold we thought.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375657' first='Tyler' last='Jones'] showed us some toughness and grit we hadn't seen yet. The sharpshooting guard who came off the bench for state champion Spring Mills played with a lot of energy and IQ throughout the weekend for the ADAPT Mountain State Academy. Jones should be an improved and galvinized guard by next fall as he'll see serious competition and be forced to elevate his level of play on the HGSL.

[player_tooltip player_id='2303389' first='Jeremy' last='Phillips'] is a combo guard we got see for the first time in person and left nothing short of impressed. Phillips has a nice combination of quickness, explosion and lateral smoothness that isn't exactly common. He has the ability to have a deadly pull up game, which he showed a few glimpses of. Jeremy started slow the first game with finding the goal from three in the spacious confines of the convention center, however, by game three he was dead on and shooting a high percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2554051' first='Camden' last='Kellogg'] was a steady presence for WV Gold showing his potential, at what we think is point guard. However, Kellogg certainly has the acumen to slide into the two-guard spot and take more of a scoring role. A great season of AAU and weight room work should get Kellogg ready to be a lead dog in the Morgantown High program.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306373' first='Mikey' last='Mitchell'] played well we thought for Best Virginia knocking down shots and playing aggressively on defense. Mitchell played alot of minutes in Pittsburgh which should be indicative of his future this spring and summer. Mikey has typically played off the ball but will have to transition into a point guard to be considered at the next level. He's physically strong, which he showed at JamFest and has great feel for the game which we saw last weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470014' first='Leo' last='DeAngelo'] played some huge minutes and dropped some clutch buckets against 17u Gold division competition while competing with [program_tooltip program_id='2401858' first='Nash' last='Prep']. DeAngelo showed alot of toughness getting to the bucket and creating his own shot off the bounce. Poised to be one of the best small school point guards, DeAngelo should be an All LKC performer next year.
