He’s a three-level scoring threat who can play with the ball in his hands or knock down shots off the catch. He has a high, quick release on his jumper and is supremely confident as a shooter. An active rebounder on both ends of the floor, he’s a good enough ball-handler to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound and either get all the way to the rim or find open teammates.

Nile was a legit scoring threat whenever he touched the ball Friday evening. In the match-up against Minnesota Fury 15u Antl, he attacked the paint, knocked down mid-range shots or scored points in transition when opportunities were available. Nile is an excellent shooter who showed the ability to catch fire and score in bunches. There was a sequence in the game where he reeled off three straight shots. Two of those were three-pointers, one was a strong dribble drive to the rim. I truly appreciated the “no hesitation” approach he had when it came to shooting the ball. These are signs of a player who is extremely confident in his ability to score. Nile was great at making himself available for shots. Whether it was going around screens or creating space off the dribble, he found ways of taking high percentage shots. He’s a good rebounder who didn’t mind battling for boards in the paint. On defense, he gave maximum effort that made scoring and ball handling difficult for the opposition. Nile is a great scorer who is skilled enough to become an elite player as he progresses through next season.

No, he won’t beat you off-the-dribble, and he’s not going to be a creator for himself, but Brankovic showed the consistent ability to step into three-pointers and knock them down. That, and he was among the better rebounders at the event while also showing flashes of being a switchable defender.

One of the bigger players at the event already standing at 6’3″, the Pleasant Valley forward showed flashes of potential as a stretch big. He can step into a three and knock it down, while also serving as a switchable defender with length. He can shoot from the mid-range, too, making him a tough matchup for any big at his age.
