Prospect Spotlight: Sean Jones (2018)
Homewood Flossmoor 6’2” 2018 guard Sean Jones is a scoring combo that gets to the rim and converts around the hoop. Smooth with the ball in his hands attacking off the bounce. Gets to the charity stripe at a high rate. He says he isn’t hearing from any schools at this stage. Should be on the small college radar.
He talked about the season for Homewood Flossmoor.
“It is moving kind of slow. We have a lot of young guys. We have to get them with the flow. We thought we had it, but we still have some things to work on. Individually I am doing alright. I think I could take more shots. It is kind of hard when you have a scorer like Isaac (Stanback) on your team. I am trying to be a leader and control the tempo.”
How would he describe his game?
“I am small as far as size, but I am athletic and quick. I can score and shoot. I am very athletic.”
Jones grew up as a baseball player that is making the full time transition to basketball. He says he might play travel team ball this spring to get his name out there more for college coaches. Right now doesn’t have any college attention. D3, NAIA, and JUCO’s should give him a look.
