About Jamir

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play a fast controlled game.I can score on all levels. My defense is a high part of my game. I am a shifty guard who can play fast or slow if needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I never let having a bad day/play affect my game, I will always get back on defense, I am relentless and have a mentality that I cannot be stopped, I do not let setbacks define my game, I practice day and night sick or not no matter how I’m feeling I will never let emotions affect me and how I play basketball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have played for Mi Jayhawks and Midwest stampede. Each team has pushed me to be a better player,I work really well with teammates, I am coachable.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My leadership is a big part of who I am, I can work with all teammates and getting them to contribute to the team and I feel I bring a lot to a basketball team and help outside the basketball court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges is people doubting me. I do not let them get into my head or let them define who I am, I use it as motivation to push harder everyday and stay in the gym.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college to challenge me not just on the court in the classroom too. I’m looking for a college that will help me prepare for the NBA and help me build as a person.
