High school boys' basketball in San Antonio experienced more success than in recent history. More teams went on deeper runs for one of two reasons. 1) Basketball has really improved across the city. 2) UIL chose to put in place Div 1 and Div 2 divisions. I choose option 3) a combination of both. In this article we will discuss several 2027's that were ALL THE RAGE ON THE BIG STAGE.

[player_tooltip player_id='2421850' first='Wyatt' last='Clemence'] play style is versatile. Wyatt is a solid, aggressive rebounder, to put in his words. "I love rebounding so I can push the ball on the court". Wyatt is a great floor spacer. You can't leave him open, close out improperly and he will blow past like a blur. Every great shooter needs a counterattack, Wyatt will get in scoring position, draw double team and pass to cutting teammate. [player_tooltip player_id='2421850' first='Wyatt' last='Clemence'] will turn heads this summer on the PUMA circuit.

Josiah was an offensive menace during the season and stepped up a level in the postseason. Josiah dropped 33 points in a first-round matchup leading his team to victory. The next round against Vandergrift, scored a single point, foul trouble and face guarding the team fell behind quickly. Josiah steadied the ship, keep the team poised and helped lead the team to victory. New heights for the rising Junior after another summer of intense development.

When evaluating Will Franklin's game first you must notice height, length and athleticism. Will has great range on his outside shot from countless hours putting in shot work. Will is a steal, blocked shot or deflection waiting to happen often resulting in a fast break for his team. Will is a consummate team player, biggest desire is winning.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198630' first='Tyler' last='Jackson'] found minutes in a crowded room of PG's and CG's. Tyler made many impressive plays on the defensive side of the court. Tyler is a very proficient offensive player, less opportunities with effective upperclassmen leaders in front of him. I look forward to seeing the growth and continued development on deck for Tyler.

[player_tooltip player_id='2253435' first='Jacob' last='Padilla'] remained locked in and ready for any opportunity to get on the court. Playing alongside a roster full of college prospects, Jacob never failed to deliver. Strong defensive prowess was/is a calling card that he utilized to remain on the floor. Didn't matter if it was in The Noble Classic or District games in San Antonio, Padilla was always ready. Solid point guard play handles and shooting will make him an option for more playing time next season.
