-Loved the decisions that Jones made throughout both games that I saw this weekend as a shifty floor general that sees the floor well. Jones manipulates the defense well with his eyes in ball screens, can improvise on the fly but makes good predetermined reads, hit smooth pull-up jumpers from all 3 levels, and did a great job of finding vulnerable pockets in the defense to create from as a dual threat floor general. Liked the value that he brings as a PG that can operate effectively on or off the ball as a movement shooter or connector from the wing.

Jones is a well-rounded guard who balances scoring with playmaking instincts. He reads defensive coverage effectively, making the extra pass or attacking mismatches when opportunities arise. His perimeter shot remains a reliable weapon, particularly off the catch or after one rhythm dribble. Defensively, he competes at the point of attack and stays engaged through multiple efforts. His steady decision-making helps stabilize offensive possessions.

Josiah Jones Josiah Jones 5'5" TX controlled the tempo with poise, consistently reading and manipulating defenses with his IQ. He kept everyone involved in the offense by always staying a step ahead, understanding where the next pass should go before the defense could recover. Jones shifted defenses with patience and purpose, drawing help and setting his teammates up from the corners for quick-trigger shots. His command of pace and decision-making allowed the offense to flow naturally through him.

Defensively, he understands angles and is relentless on the ball, and he will accept tough assignments on the court.  This kid is major prospect caliber. His stock will continue to rise as his body matures along with his game.

He’s extremely crafty in traffic and has great balance when finishing at the rim. Jones plays with great emotion and is a momentum-changer with his ability to heat up quickly. Defensively, he has active feet and causes problems in passing lanes. One of the most exciting young guards in the class.

Josiah was an offensive menace during the season and stepped up a level in the postseason. Josiah dropped 33 points in a first-round matchup leading his team to victory. The next round against Vandergrift, scored a single point, foul trouble and face guarding the team fell behind quickly. Josiah steadied the ship, keep the team poised and helped lead the team to victory. New heights for the rising Junior after another summer of intense development.

As a young and highly skilled guard, he continues to refine his game and has shown notable improvements in consistency. His ability to create offense both on and off the ball makes him a valuable weapon, and as he continues to develop, his impact will only grow.
