The second Cleveland Heights Tiger to make this article, Blue was named Division I northeast Lakes honorable mention this season for the district champion Tigers. Blue could attack a closeout with his quick first step on the perimeter, is active around the rim for putback layups and can even stretch out and knock down a set 3-pointer. Cleveland Heights had some sneaky small college talents who helped them surge late in the season. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Blue became a solid rotational piece for a small college program.

Cleveland Heights got a gritty conference win to avenge a loss earlier in the season and Blue made some key plays in the victory. Slashing to the paint with success, Blue could catch on the wing or baseline and attack in a straight line to the rim and score thanks to his quick first step and size. A circus shot off an offensive rebound in the third quarter and a timely 3-pointer in the fourth quarter were both big swings of momentum in favor of the Tigers on Friday night. Blue should be on small college radars due to his ability to rebound, run the court and produce in one of the best leagues in Ohio.

B-Rod Select 17u turned in a dominant 4-0 weekend at The Stage and this super long, athletic, 6’3″ wing had a lot to do with their success. Blue consistently got to the paint off of the dribble either by attacking closeouts, leading the break in transition, or using some shifty ball handling to beat his man. Then, he had the length and athleticism to get up and finish at the rim. Blue lived at the free throw line as well.

An aggressive slasher to the rim, Blue was getting downhill by using his size and quickness to score at the rim. I was also impressed by his ability to play through contact with a couple of and-1 layups. When B Rod Select forced turnovers, Blue did a nice job of leaking out and getting easy layups on the fast break. Interesting wing athlete to monitor from northeast Ohio.
