Tuesday night I caught a matchup between Bismark-Henning Rossville-Alvin who came into the game at 22-0 against Wateska. This was a pretty competitive game for stretches as Wateska stayed with the undefeated small school power, but in the end BHRA's star took over in the third quarter and they never looked back winning 67-49. Here we look at the prospects in the contest with 3 Takeaways: Bismark-Henning Rossville Alvin vs Wateska!

Peoples Takes Over Game as Clearly Best Player on Floor

The reason we took in this game was to get an updated evaluation on 2026 6'3” point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1845359' first='Keison' last='Peoples']. He more than lived up to the billing. The lead guard is extremely smooth with everything he does and plays with a ton of confidence. Makes it look easy getting to the rack as he regularly blew past defenders with a quick first step for acrobatic layups at the rim. Finished well with both hands at the cup. Pushed in the open floor weaving in between defenders for and-1. He banged in a top of the key three in the first half with a nice looking shot. As a passer he has an excellent feel for the game. In the first half he was really looking to set up his teammates recording all four of his dimes in the early going. Drive and kick dimes along with a one handed outlet on the money for a layup. Aware defender that racked up several steals. He had 22 points, 4 dimes, and 2 steals.

23-0 BHRA Star Has Help in Backcourt from Seniors

The undefeated squad is more than just Peoples. He has a nice pair of senior guards next to him that can get buckets. [player_tooltip player_id='2815665' first='Ethan' last='Dubois'] is a plus shooter from deep that drained four triples in the win. Lets it fly with a ton of confidence each and every time he touched it. Went for 18 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2815668' first='Micah' last='Stanford'] is a 5'11” stocky guard that was consistently putting pressure on the rim with his straight line takes getting to the rim where he had 16 points. Good in transition and overall finished well in the paint.

Sleeper Prospects Shine for Wateska

Wateska had three seniors that each scored from a different level in this game being effective. Down low it was undersized post Alex Shoemaker who was very crafty with pick/roll finishes, converting dump offs, and getting on the offensive glass for 15 points. James Newell was the threat from the mid-range as he poured in 15 foot jumpers and made quick drives on catches out of the middle of the defense for 14 points. Quinn Shakey was their top long distance shooter as he poured in four of them including a couple of super deep ones for 12 points.
