The season is less than a week away. For a different type of season preview, I wanted to find one "X-Factor" in each of Kentucky's districts for this season. Here are 64 X-Factors for the 24-25 season, one for district in the state.

As a freshman, Lawson averaged 8 points and 6 rebounds. As a Sophomore, he could be looking at 14 and 10 if he continues to develop. Already bigger and more athletic than most in the region, Lawson has the potential to be a high impact player and to help get Menifee back to the regional tournament.

Morgan County graduated 7 Seniors and lost leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2104595' first='Preston' last='Hoskins'] to transfer. [player_tooltip player_id='2125699' first='Asher' last='Gamble'] is the last man standing for the Cougars and is primed for a big Sophomore season as the main scoring option for them. If he can make some big strides and get some help, things may not drop off like they could with the roster losses they had.

Welch is a true big with the potential to be a true difference maker with his size and ability to rebound and offer some rim protection. Charles has some good touch around the rim and has post moves that allow him to be a threat on either block. If he can stay on the court more this season, he could see a massive boost in his production from last year.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1359133' first='Jacob' last='Spurlock'] gets all the headlines for Boyd but Hicks is just as important to the success of the team. Cole is able to do a lot of things to help his team win. Whether it's diving on the floor for a loose ball or making the extra pass for an open teammate, Cole contributes to winning in multiple ways. In order to get past Ashland and get to Rupp Arena, Hicks, Rhett Holbrook and the other Boyd starters will need to counteract the production of Ashland's deep bench.
