Recruiting Report: Damaria Franklin (2018)
Niles North 2018 wing Damaria Franklin is a powerful 6’3” guard that is built like a linebacker. Franklin is at his best spotting up from three. Drills shots with a quick release and a compact stroke. Also a quality pull up shooter from 15-18 feet off the bounce. Rebounds very well for a guard. Franklin projects as a high D2 prospect with the chance to elevate into low-major status.
How is it going early in the season with Niles North?
“We are doing great and keeping our composure. Coming into to the season as number six in the state we have a lot of targets on our back so we have to go out and play the game and share the ball.”
He spoke about his play individually.
“I am playing good. Sharing the ball. We have a lot of depth this year. We grew over last year and have a lot of potential.”
What can he bring to a team at the next level?
“I am a two guard that can shoot, attack the basket, and rebound.”
Franklin updated us with his recruitment.
“I have been in contact with UAB, Winthrop, and Florida Gulf Coast.”
No offers yet. What will he be looking for in a school?
“Loyalty that is it.”
He has one visit lined up early in the new year.
“I take one on January 26 to Winthrop for an unofficial.”
