He’s been one of the breakout players this winter, and it starts with his incredible shooting. Has the range to hit from just about anywhere on the court and has done it in big spots for the Crusaders. Has done a good job handling the rock, getting separation, and has a quick release on his jumper. Has also shown the ability to get creative by the rim and finish in a lot of ways.

Sun had some nice moments during the runs, starting his day off with a great contested and contact finish around a 6-foot-8 defender. Then he started to settle in behind the arc, showing off his range and quick-hitting ability from three. He still mixed in some penetration, drive-and-kick, and focused finishing as well.

Sun is a sharpshooter who should play a big role spacing the floor for Eastside Catholic this winter. He’s also a kid who plays with a good IQ, can make quick decisions, and uses his dribble with purpose. He has some sneaky speed too, which allows him to make plays in transition on both ends.

Sun is an exciting guard who has shown big potential both with Rotary in the AAU season and with the Crusaders over summer league. He’s a crafty guard who can score the ball from different levels with his slick handle and smooth jumper. He’s already shown he can play against high-level high school teams and should have an instant impact in his freshman year at Eastside Catholic.
