Small college programs looking for a long, athletic forward/center should check in on the defending Class 4A State Champions and Mitchell who transferred in from Rock Creek Academy. Mitchell is super bouncy around the basket, goes to rebound with two hands, and has upside as a shot-blocker. He will step in and play a major role in the front court right away for the Red Devils.

Mitchell caught our attention a bit as a junior at Rock Creek Academy, but he should have some more eyes on him now as he has transferred to Jeffersonville for his senior season. The long, lean, 6’7″ big man checks a lot of boxes in terms of physical and athletic traits. He is bouncy at the rim, fluid enough athletically to run the floor, and long enough to be disruptive defensively. As he gets stronger and continues to develop his offensive skill set his game could really take another leap.

The talent and upside is certainly there for Mitchell to be a Top 150 prospect in the Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings. However, we simply need to see him more to really have a feel for where to put him. The quick viewing we got this summer showed a very impressive 6’6″-6’7″ athletic forward. Anxious to get a further evaluation of him this coming season.
