wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Fargo Davies -</strong> It is hard to bet against [player_tooltip player_id='1169136' first='Mason' last='Klabo'], one of North Dakota's all-time best high school basketball players. Klabo will get his and put up splashy numbers all season, but [player_tooltip player_id='2617640' first='Colton' last='Reinke'] is the Eagle who I think will really be a breakout player. Reinke has length, athleticism, energy, a high hoops IQ, unselfishness, tough D, and 3-level scoring ability. [player_tooltip player_id='1332141' first='Cameron' last='Miller'] is another player to keep eyes on. After that, Coach Manson has plenty of BIGs to throw inside to do the dirty work with [player_tooltip player_id='1167614' first='Xavier' last='Ames'], [player_tooltip player_id='1327798' first='Collin' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='1541298' first='Jack' last='Wheeldon'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1525281' first='Holden' last='Witte']. Expect the Eagles to fly this season! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Horace -</strong> The Hawks had an impressive and successful offseason as a team. The individual players also saw improvement and success. [player_tooltip player_id='1327797' first='Carter' last='Evanson'] is the high-octane name for the Hawks who is the #1 ranked ND 2026 Prospect. He has recently picked up multiple college offers, expect Easy$ to have a blockbuster season and for college coaches to keep giving him attention. [player_tooltip player_id='1189404' first='Brady' last='Westphal'] is another player to watch, he recently committed to Crookston who plays in the NSIC. [player_tooltip player_id='1651918' first='Brett' last='Livingston'] is a young baller who I think will have a high-quality season. Horace does not have much size outside of Livingston but they have plenty of firepower on the offensive end. It could be a historic season for the Hawks and coach Cummings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>West Fargo -</strong> The Packers are always tough and scrappy, this year will be no different. Their young players got their feet wet last season and should be ready to take the next step. I really like [player_tooltip player_id='1327795' first='Beckett' last='Pfau']'s game and I think [player_tooltip player_id='1167611' first='Bonfas' last='Loria'] will have a productive senior season. The others to watch are [player_tooltip player_id='1327800' first='Sam' last='Glandt'], [player_tooltip player_id='1338493' first='Aiden' last='Samek'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1541295' first='Haakon' last='Seymour']. These three will do the little things but also put up points. I am interested to see what role [player_tooltip player_id='1477113' first='Alex' last='Wetterlin'] plays. The future looks bright for the Packers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Grand Forks Red River -</strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1169135' first='Pearce' last='Parks'] will put up gaudy numbers all season and [player_tooltip player_id='1497483' first='Cameron' last='Klefstad'] will be a horse inside. Parks and Klefstad are going to be a big problem for opponents. [player_tooltip player_id='1178063' first='JB' last='Walters'] will be another tough interior player. Does [player_tooltip player_id='2237807' first='James' last='Schindler'] start as the floor general? Who will be the top three-pointer shooter for coach Kirby Krefting's team?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>West Fargo Sheyenne -</strong> The Mustangs have quality talent on their roster but for the most part, they are unproven players at the varsity level. Losing Tommy Ahneman to Minnesota was a huge blow to the program but they do have plenty of length coming up the ranks. Is [player_tooltip player_id='1167609' first='Sullivan' last='Ihry'] ready to run the show and lead the way? I like what I have seen from [player_tooltip player_id='1541299' first='Chase' last='Speelmon'], he could have a nice year. Will [player_tooltip player_id='1541561' first='Kayson' last='Bernstien'] start at the 5? How much varsity burn do youngsters [player_tooltip player_id='2237722' first='Tanner' last='Kratcha'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2132777' first='Kyson' last='Keller'] get this season?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Fargo South -</strong> The Bruins have a boatload of size and talent, can they step up to the plate and prove they are legit? This could certainly be the year that the Bruins get back to the State Tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='1632627' first='Abakar' last='Miganoudji'] is a dynamic playmaker and [player_tooltip player_id='1541562' first='Corbyn' last='Follingstad'] had an excellent summer. [player_tooltip player_id='1534507' first='Michael' last='Hamilton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1975439' first='Ali' last='Shahid'] will make a quality backcourt. This group will be tough to match up with. Taking care of the ball, shot selection, and valuing the basketball will be key for South. The expectations should be high for the Bruins, this is an intriguing group.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Fargo North -</strong> The Spartans could certainly be higher in these rankings, but they lost a ton in that senior class and they will be a "new-look" squad. The two best Spartans will be [player_tooltip player_id='1167613' first='Eric' last='DeBoer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1167610' first='Matthew' last='Sem']. They will be a scary 1-2 punch. [player_tooltip player_id='1525282' first='Victor' last='Busanga'] should get the keys to the offense as the PG. It will be interesting to see what the starting lineup looks like in game 1 and what kind of interior size the Spartans come up with.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Grand Forks Central -</strong> The Knights top two players will be [player_tooltip player_id='1497485' first='Cole' last='Wilber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1798694' first='Brooklan' last='Bruce']. These two will make a dynamic backcourt, shoot it well, and make many impressive plays throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id='2396506' first='Trey' last='Wyman'] is a player to get eyes on, he could surprise some people. I do not believe that GFC has much size or a ton of depth. Time will certainly tell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Shanley -</strong>They will have plenty of shooting options with [player_tooltip player_id='1481848' first='Jake' last='Kraft'], [player_tooltip player_id='1509954' first='Justin' last='Ajeo'], [player_tooltip player_id='1477112' first='Isaac' last='Beauchamp'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1537905' first='Tommy' last='Baumgartner']. I am unsure what kind of depth they will have and if they can defend the top teams in the EDC. The biggest question is how will BIG [player_tooltip player_id='1497484' first='Luke' last='Warner'] play? Is this the year he breaks out?
