The Expo: South Dakota — Stock-Risers

Prep Hoops Dakotas has a quick-hitter of prospects that, without a doubt, boosted their stock and will be moving up the rankings board based off of their showing at The Expo: South Dakota this past weekend in Sioux Falls. Who brought it, performed, and clearly raised their stock? We have seven stock-risers for you.    Brewer played with a ton of energy and intensity on both ends. His defensive energy and pressure on the ball was clear to point out. He played quick in transition and was aggressive getting to the rim. A great athlete with quickness and major bounce. He's way more athletic and bouncy than I thought. Could easily sky up for boards, getting well off the ground. I thought he put his body on the line and was fearless attacking the rim.     Tate was dealing with some cramps/injury I believe, but he was still able to boost his stock from the get-go. He was doing everything on the court and played with energy and competitive fire. He pushed the tempo up-court and made the defense guard. Saw him hit multiple threes, great passes, and he was cleaning the glass as well. His demeanor, energy, and effort really stood out.     Nickles is up an inch or so and he's now listed at 6'2” from 6'1”. He was also an All-Expo performer. He now has adequate size to get serious next-level attention. The skill has always been there and I think his impact on a game with the ball in his hands as a distributor, shooter, and scorer, warrants him to he rated above the two bigs in the 2026 class.     Paulsen had a real nice showing and rose his stock. He hit his jumpers, got into the lane to score, played with quickness and handle, and distributed to teammates. He showed that, when given opportunity to play-make and show his talents, he can rise up to the occasion.     Niederbaumer showed more offensive capabilities than I had seen from him on the high school level with Viborg-Hurley. He was hitting his threes and looked awfully comfortable playing away from the hoop. He was also active on the glass with his 6'5” length.     Runestad continues to raise his stock. Doesn't possess perfect size, but he's a baller that makes plays when he's out there. He can slash, play a nice transition game, and his three-ball game was locked-in at The Expo. Got into the heart of the D off the drive to kick or score in the lane. Competes defensively.     Traveion's build and frame look improved. He showed a muscular and cut build, and he seemed to be moving really well. He shot the ball from range well, busted the ball up in transition, and played some bully-ball with his frame in the paint. Played hard and with intensity and focus, as usual. I think his ranking will improve drastically.
