Expert Analysis

Avandre is a defensive difference maker for his Minnesota Comets team. At 6’4 he has an extremely long frame, and stands out as a shot blocker. He has the mobility to move his feet out on the perimeter, and to also hustle into spots to make plays at the rim. Had a handful of blocks in the game I watched, showing perfect timing to elevate and get a piece of the ball without fouling. Offensively he can step out and stretch the floor from three, and has the fluidity to weave through defenders in the open floor.

Avandre brings a lot of versatility to the table along with his length. The 6’4” wing was scoring in a variety of ways, being able to knock down looks from the perimeter, as well as slash to the basket. He was effective in the catch-and-shoot, while also being a threat to pull up off the dribble. The Staples Motley junior had some very impressive finishes around the basket, maninating control while at full speed or when faced with traffic inside.

Avandre has an intriguing frame as he stands at 6’4, has extremely long arms, and moves pretty well out on the perimeter. Didn’t get a ton of touches in this game, but in the 3v3 action I saw he showed some potential attacking the rim off the dribble. Was a strong finisher in transition, and also a shot blocking threat as his long arms can cause problems around the rim.
