Clifford put together a great weekend running with Minnesota Heat PBG 17U and proved to be a major game-changer with his all-around production. Clifford averaged 16 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg, 2 spg, and 1 bpg while impacting winning on both ends of the floor. Leo showed a real knack for getting to the basket and finishing efficiently, scoring in a variety of ways throughout the weekend. Whether it was acrobatic finishes at the rim, smooth dribble pull-ups, catch-and-shoot looks, or turnaround jumpers, Clifford consistently found ways to put points on the board. Defensively, his activity level and length stood out as well, disrupting passing lanes and making life difficult for opposing perimeter players. His versatility, scoring package, and defensive impact made him one of the more impressive performers at Stomping Grounds.

Any time he was able to catch with his feet set out on the perimeter, three points were likely going on the board. He did a great job of providing angles for kick-out passes when one of his teammates drove, making it easy for them to find him in space on the three point line. Good size at 6’2 out on the wing combined with a strong frame that should help him at the college level.

Clifford seemed very comfortable with the ball and off the ball seemed to know exactly what he should be doing. As a creator passing the ball and being initiator seemed to come first but he does have a solid first step to get by defenders off the bounce.
