Prep Hoops Oklahoma Freshman Showcase: Team 2 Evaluations

Prep Hoops Oklahoma hosted the annual Freshman Showcase this past Saturday which gave us a great look at many of the top prospects in the class of 2028. This article will cover each prospect from Team 2 and evaluations of the remaining teams will be posted soon. [player_tooltip player_id='2560585' first='Tysen' last='Sims'] had an impressive showcase as he used a high level of energy to keep opponents guessing. He did a great job of slicing through defense and attacking the rim. Sims knocked down several three-pointers and was especially dangerous when shooting off the catch.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560248' first='Chance' last='Younger'] caught eyes thanks to his ability to run the show regardless of who he was playing with. He displayed some of the best playmaking ability at the showcase on his way to being named to the second-team top-6. Younger was able to change speeds effectively and got into the paint at will.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560563' first='Camden' last='Choate'] was an effective floor spacer at the showcase by knocking down multiple threes while constantly moving along the perimeter. He has an extremely quick release and attacked closeouts effectively following pump-fakes.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560560' first='Aiden' last='Lewis'] had a productive showcase on both ends of the court. He displayed scoring versatility as he was able to get to the rim with explosiveness as well as hit a variety of jumpers from deep. He had multiple blocks in 3v3 play and defended with aggression throughout throughout the showcase.     De 'Von Stevenson Jr made noise at the showcase thanks to his aggression and willingness to get his hands dirty. He attacked the rim all day and was able to finish with creativity at the rim. Stevenson excelled by pushing the pace in transition where he made great reads finished plays himself or found open teammates.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560567' first='Cole' last='Kirby'] was one of the more active players at the showcase as he competed hard on both ends of the court. He has active hands and was able to disrupt passing with deflections that led to several fast-break opportunities. Kirby is a very unselfish player and fit well with everyone he shared the floor with.     [player_tooltip player_id='2560586' first='Zane' last='Lewis'] played with confidence and aggression as he sought contact throughout the showcase. He drove hard into the lane after losing his defender off the dribble. Lewis is extremely scrappy and consistently applied pressure that clearly affected his man. His shooting form never changed regardless of if he was shooting from deep or attempting free-throws.     [player_tooltip player_id='2553498' first='Joshua' last='Woodson'] plays with pace and uses his explosiveness to get by defenders and into the lane. His ability to finish through contact was on display as he drew multiple and-ones. Woodson was also able to hit catch-and-shoot threes with his quick release and high release point.     [player_tooltip player_id='2553586' first='Marquis' last='Fleming'] earned a spot in top-6 with elite play finishing ability and a non-stop motor. He battled for second-chance points all day and never backed down from physicality. Fleming has a quick first step and long strides that he used to slice through defenses on his way to the rim
