Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. That is never more true than doing our annual series of fall showcase events. This past Sunday, we hosted our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase which is the single best event we put on each year. Over 150 of the states best freshmen descended upon Fishers High School to play in front of our scouting staff as well as many area high school and grassroots coaches. Throughout the week, we will be pumping evaluations on every single kid that attended this event. For this one, we look at the players that made up Team 14.

***As you can imagine, trying to cover 150+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

Girouard is a 5'11" guard that was one of the few freshman prospects out of Zionsville High School at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase over the weekend. He is a really long guard that has a little bit of combo-guard ability in him being able to play both on and off the ball at a balanced level. Once he adds a bit more aggressiveness to his game, he will be able to unlock a new level.

Cardwell was one of the four freshmen prospects out of Kokomo High School showing that Wildkats have some talent on the way. Listed at 6'0", he was one of the more aggressive guards in the gym and did a really good job fighting for rebounds on both ends of the floor. I also thought he was a strong communicator on defense and had no issues with talking to his teammates on the floor. There were some really mature qualities already in his game.

Frye is a 6'2" guard out of Fairfield High School that has some lankiness to his frame. He consistently used that length to his advantage and he was smart about using it when he would drive the lane to make plays for others. He was another guard on Team 14 that had no issues with fighting for boards on both ends of the floor. Frye was a good and willing playmaker that appeared to be one of the more talented guards in the gym on Sunday. He has a bright future ahead.

Jenkinson is a 5'11" guard out of McCutcheon High School that showed off some incredible end-to-end speed on the floor. He is a guard that really likes to push the pace when he can and excelled in transition. The floor general also showed some toughness on both ends and would not let his smaller stature be a problem against the bigger freshmen guards that he went up against.

Quesenberry is a 6'3" wing out of Center Grove that showed some really intriguing tools in the games we watched him in at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. This lanky prospect proved that he can be pretty versatile at times on both ends of the floor. I thought the best thing he showed was his post-defense as he made it really difficult for anyone to get easy buckets down there. His length and fluidity gives him the ability to guard both the wing and in the post.

There may not have been a higher-rated prospect in the gym at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase than Lawrence Central's [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley']. He is built very similar to his brother Kenneth having legit size and elite athletic ability. At around 6'5", Lampley was elite around the rim making highlight play after highlight play while also being one of the better rim protectors on the defensive end. Despite not even playing a single high school game yet, it is hard not to get excited about his upside. Lampley received an offer from Rutgers coming out of our event.

Barnard is a 6'5" prospect out of Tri-West and was one of the bigger wings we saw at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase over the weekend. He was a really active rebounder on both ends of the floor and was arguably one of the better wing defenders I saw on the day as well. There will be some continued development to his offensive game, but I like the tools that he has as his game continues to evolve.

Loveless is a 6'1" guard out of Homestead that has some of the better physical tools that we saw out of all of our freshmen at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. He was really quick on and off the ball and was not afraid to use his natural strength to go at the contact the defense gave him. Loveless proved to be a high motor player that could be a big key for Homestead in the coming years.
