Prep Hoops Oklahoma Freshman Showcase: Top Shooters

These players were able to steal the show by getting up a variety of shots and knocking them down with consistency. He has deep range and a pretty form regardless of where he is shooting from. While participating in 5v5 runs, the opposing teams sold out in an attempt to limit his shooting but Newton remained unaffected. He excels in creating space for himself and does a great job of getting his feet set before taking shots. He shot well on catch-and-shoot attempts but really caught eyes by hitting pull-up threes with consistency. Whether he was taking them in transition or the half-court, Patton seemed to never even hit the rim. He hit a number of pull-ups both from the midrange and three. Wilborn ran in transition well and found his spots extremely quickly. Catch-and-shoot looks seemed second nature to him as he knocked them down with ease. He excels with the ball in his hands and creates space for open looks. He elevated well on jumpers and was able to get shots off clean even when facing hard closeouts. His ability to move non-stop off ball created easy looks for him that he had no problem knocking down. His strength on Saturday was his consistency with catch-and-shoot opportunities. He excelled at hitting pull-ups from the midrange as well from three. He stopped on a dime when getting into the midrange and elevated for easy two points. Collins mitigated late contests thanks to his vertical on jumpers. He is a ball of energy and never stopped moving while playing off-ball. His shooting was the strongest when he had his feet set in the corner, but also knocked down several pull-ups.
