What stood out most was his shooting ability. Koontz knocked down shots from the perimeter with confidence and proved he can heat up quickly when given an opportunity. His scoring ability was on full display in a 26-point performance, where he showed the complete offensive package by scoring from beyond the arc, attacking off the bounce, and making plays in key moments.

Despite his size, Koontz competes with toughness and plays bigger than his frame. His combination of ball-handling, shot-making, and confidence makes him a dangerous offensive weapon and a player capable of leading his team whenever he’s on the floor.

Don Carlos Koontz Carlos Koontz 5'7" | PG/PF/PF TX is a floor general that plays for the Lubbock Panthers that continues to impress me with his play on the floor, offensively and defensively. On offense, he always has a sense of where his teammates are at within the offensive flow and when he is looking to score, he takes smart shots when the opportunity presents itself. With the ball in his hands, he always has a sense of making the right play that benefits the team’s point total. When going downhill, he finds ways to finish around the rim and find his teammates in the process. Defensively he generates steals in multiple situations on that end of the floor.
