[player_tooltip player_id='2869685' first='Ellis' last='Crow'] had a very productive weekend at the Prep Hoops Oklahoma State Tournament. The small guard was crafty and creative off the bounce, and his ability to shoot the three made him extremely difficult for defenders to guard.

Crow displayed limitless range beyond the arc, raining in what is believed to be a Prep Hoops tournament record 10 three-pointers. The kid shot the lights out of the gym and looked every bit like one of the best shooters on the Prep Hoops circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2873709' first='Brandt' last='Howard'] is a guard for the Oklahoma Irish. Since his sophomore year at Tuttle, Brandt has seemingly added muscle and weight to his frame, and this weekend he showed off those gains.

I watched several of his games, and he consistently got out in transition and attacked the rim at full speed. He was one of the fastest players with the ball in his hands in the tournament, regardless of age, which made him a matchup problem for opposing teams.

Howard also played bully ball against guards his size, showcasing his strength and physicality. In addition, he possesses a nice handle and good touch around the rim. Howard also won his team a big game verse Team Oklahoma hitting a long two in transition after a forced turnover by his team. Expect Brandt to continue having a strong summer as he heads into high school team camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='3616323' first='Ayden' last='Phillips'] was one of the standout performers in the 16U division at the Prep Hoops State Tournament. The [player_tooltip player_id='2557300' first='5'10' last='']” junior earned two Player of the Game honors while leading his team in scoring throughout the event. His impact was felt in every game, but none bigger than his team's 17-point comeback victory over Team Oklahoma, where Phillips sparked a crucial run that helped his squad erase the deficit and take control of the game.

Breaking down his game, Phillips is a crafty scorer who excels around the basket. He consistently plays off two feet, uses his body effectively to create angles, and shows great touch through contact. Despite often facing bigger and taller defenders, he repeatedly found ways to finish difficult shots at the rim. His handle allows him to get where he wants on the floor, and his ability to change speeds keeps defenders off balance.

Beyond the scoring numbers, Phillips demonstrated poise, toughness, and the ability to take over stretches of games when his team needed him most. He was one of the most productive and impactful players in the tournament and firmly established himself as one of the top performers in the 16U division this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548157' first='Carlos' last='Koontz'] is a skilled 5'7” point guard who made his presence felt throughout the tournament. Koontz showcased his ability to control the game with the ball in his hands, displaying a tight handle and strong decision-making as a lead guard. His ability to create space off the dribble allowed him to consistently get to his spots and keep defenders on their heels.

What stood out most was his shooting ability. Koontz knocked down shots from the perimeter with confidence and proved he can heat up quickly when given an opportunity. His scoring ability was on full display in a 26-point performance, where he showed the complete offensive package by scoring from beyond the arc, attacking off the bounce, and making plays in key moments.

Despite his size, Koontz competes with toughness and plays bigger than his frame. His combination of ball-handling, shot-making, and confidence makes him a dangerous offensive weapon and a player capable of leading his team whenever he's on the floor.
