will carry a gargantuan load of volume for Ralson Valley next season, being one of the few juniors last season on a squad loaded with seniors. Hansen’s time is now, with enormous opportunities knocking at his door. With limited minutes, Hansen showed up immensely on defense, attributing 1.7 SPG while creeping in between passing lanes and causing havoc. The 5’10 combo guard is lightning-quick on his feet, making plays on the fly while distributing the ball, ensuring his teammates are always involved in the action on offense.

Hansen showed why he’s the engine that makes Ralston tick. He controlled the game by breaking presses, managing tempo and getting his team into the right sets. He made winning plays all night, whether finding teammates in rhythm or taking his shot when needed. Defenders quickly learned that any space meant trouble, as he punished them with his decision making all night. Hansen’s leadership and poise were on full display, allowing him to dictate the game on both ends and keep his team firmly in control

Hansen plays with command of the floor and proved he can impact the game in multiple ways. With the ball in his hands, he’s calm, confident and efficient while always looking to set up teammates with sharp passes and smart reads. His vision and awareness allow him to see plays develop before they happen, making him a reliable facilitator who keeps the offense flowing smoothly. He takes pride in protecting the ball and rarely wastes a possession, showing maturity and discipline in his decision making. When defenses collapse or give him space, he can step up and knock down shots from anywhere, adding another layer to his offensive game. Hansen’s leadership, unselfish play and ability to both create and score make him a complete guard and a deserving ranked player

Hansen is a small guard that I did not know too much about before the summer, but was very intrigued by at Colorado Live, and I am curious to see if that was just a good day, or if he’s ready to take a leap. He’s a high-IQ guard that can put the ball on the floor and break down defenses, he can step out and shoot the 3-ball, and runs the offense. For his HS team, he will be tasked with running the show and contributing offensively, and with another solid showing, he can make an even higher leap. Get out to the showcase, Quentin.

Hansen was not a player that we knew too much about heading into the event, but loved coming out of it because he plays winning basketball, as he is a very unselfish player. Hansen does what is best for the team and is ready for the moment. Ralston Valley plays a brand of basketball that not many other teams play, but he is one of the willing players to put the ball onto the floor and opens up the defense, and that works seamlessly for them. He shot the ball well, can play on and off the ball, and rebounded well as he boxes out and battles with bigger players. He competes on both ends of the floor and plays above his size, and that kind of play is contagious.
