Below is the seventeenth installment in our Transfer Watch 2024 series.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400241' first='Jalyn' last='Hopkins'] – 6'5″ / 2027 / Abington Friends / BW Elite / Small Forward: This former West Philadelphia standout is transferring to Abington Friends and will reclass into the 2027 graduate year. With his height, speed, athleticism and enormous wingspan, Hopkins is a major threat in the open court. He can also score in the mid-range and operate in the dunker spot. Plus, Hopkins has flashed the ability to blow past a defender with one or two dribbles. Hopkins posted a fantastic summer that was highlighted by a double-double of 12 points and 18 rebounds at the Southern Jam Fest (VA).

[player_tooltip player_id='1379428' first='Josiah' last='Hutson'] – 5'9” / 2025 / Chester Charter Academy / Kings Unlimited / Combo Guard: Hutson is a two-time 1st Team All-Ches-Mont League selection who is departing Cheltenham for Chester Charter Academy. This primary ball handler with a scorer's mentality is extraordinarily difficult to stop. Hutson (1,000+ point scorer) possesses next level quickness and elusive handles. Those assets enable him to get into the paint where he can score or distribute. Once he is in the lane, Hutson can hit floaters as well as dribble pull-ups. He owns an accurate three-point stroke too. Hutson is especially lethal on off the bounce triples.

[player_tooltip player_id='2710216' first='Kevan' last='Kamminga'] – 6'10” / 2026 / Perkiomen School / Tokyo Samurai AAU / Power Forward: This 200-pound stretch-4 prospect presents serious matchup issues for opponents. Kamminga can pop threes, play bully ball on the low blocks, and produce points via the offensive glass. However, it is his guard-like handles that really cause problems for defenders. Kamminga can blow past his man and then finish with authority or with creative flair. He also runs the floor extremely well, so Kamminga is a transition threat too. At the other end of the floor, he is a beast on the defensive boards. Kamminga previously played at DME Academy in Florida as well as in Japan.

Bo Ran Yue – 6'10” / 2028 / Phelps School / Center: Originally from China, Yue is a stretch-5 prospect with a solid build. At 6'10” and with his developed frame, Yue is a dominating interior presence at both ends of the floor. But he will catch opponents by surprise with his agility and feathery jumper. Yue can score out of pick-n-roll action, on dives to the rim and via one or two bounces. He can pop jump shots from the baseline, the elbows and behind the arc. On defense Yue is an intimidating rim protector.
