I caught plenty of players, from #sizedontmatter to 6'8 at the event, here's part 1

Bryant Herring-6'6 PF (Brentwood Christian) 2026

Herring's physique alone demanded attention as he was simply powerful around the basket, whether he was rebounding, which he did on both ends or scoring. He also played solid defense inside yet she showed he could step outside and guard his man. As the day progressed he showed his versatility by not only scoring off the dribble but elevating on his jumper to drop the midrange

Miles Hardeman-5'7 PG (Weiss) 2027

Hardeman had me smiling as he truly understood and showed that the game starts at the 1. His court vision in transition coupled with his ballhandling under pressure immediately stood out yet he's heady, does a good job controlling the tempo as well as setting his teammates up for good looks. Being vocal on the court is a huge plus, so is his first step to attack and score showing solid body control after the lick. He dropped the 3, "catch and shoot" was also solid and so was his defensive pressure

Juda Gibson-6'1 SG (McNeil) 2026

Gibson is "long and athletic" and I had a chance to watch him putting in work by himself on Saturday on the shooting machine. On Sunday, he gave me a little bit of everything as he created his shot and dropped it in the set, yet he also showed he could nail it in transition with the "stop and pop". His release is quick, yeah, the "catch and shoot" 3 looked good, so did his scoring off the dribble and finishing after the lick

Bryce Hodge-5'7 PG (Lake Travis) 2028
Hodge used his athleticism on both ends and being one of the youngest players in attendance didn't FAZE him. He attacked the basket strongly off the dribble to score or dish yet he also applied "on the ball" heat baseline to baseline. He did a good job of creating his shot and dropping the jumper with a hand in his face, his "catch and shoot" from deep was also nice, as was his court vision in the set

Alonzo Garcia (SWHS) 2027

Garcia is one of those "never takes a play off" type of player and he also falls into the #sizedontmatter category. His intensity had me smiling because of the heat he brought defensively from baseline to baseline. He set the defender up nicely to score off the dribble but his ability to see the floor while being defended was another plus

Nikolai Martin (Southwest) 2027

Martin was another athletic guard who did a good job of applying heat on both ends and his defensive pressure didn't let up throughout the day. He showed a deceptive first step to get by the defender to attack the basket and finish, his court vision off the dribble, as well as in the set was nice, and so was his not only creating his shot but creating spacing to get the jumper off

[player_tooltip player_id='2499769' first='Adonis' last='Wright']-6'2 G (Stony Point) 2027

Wright is another "long and athletic" guard and his playing the passing lane was one of the initial things he did that just grabbed me. His "on the ball" pressure, in the set as well as "baseline to baseline" was good yet he flipped the switch as the day progressed and showed he could get by the defender to score off the dribble, and finished strongly after contact. His jumper was also nice as he dropped it with a hand in his face

Joe Davis (Stony Point) 2027

Davis has a very nice first step and when coupled with the slight HEZ, he showed he could get the rim from multiple angles and finish off balance after contact. Yes, the body control was nice but so was his court vision across the board. He also showed he could score from outside and his pressure on defense was solid

Jayce Foster (Stony Point) 2027

Foster was yet another athletic guard who just brought IT on both ends. He attacked the basket using a deceptive first step, showing nice body control on his finishes, after the lick included yet his passes her crisp and on the money both in the set and the open court. He also does a good job creating his show under pressure and dropping the jumper

Qui Raun Presley (Georgetown) 2025

Pressley goes by Q and he did not leave until he was through and you guessed it, he's a long and athletic guard. He scored multiple ways, elevating around the basket, and off the dribble acrobatically, both after contact. His jumper was also effective, from mid to long range, and his "catch and shoot" 3 was among the best. He also hit the boards and went coast to coast to score or dish, his defense was solid and he played the passing lane
