The last event of the Prep Hoops Circuit for the summer was in St. Louis at Arch Madness. We were in the house to cover the entire event and examine the prospects that made an impact in Arch Madness: Illinois Post Prospects!

[player_tooltip player_id='1766507' first='Mitchel' last='Edwards'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'])

Edwards is one of the biggest sleepers in the state in our eyes. The Carmi bouncy four man has everything that programs are looking for with his combination of athleticism and perimeter shooting in post players. He is a super bouncy four man that plays above the rim throwing down some massive dunks throughout the weekend. Can deck it with the best of them at the power forward spot winning on drives. Runs the floor hard and plays above the rim. Blocks shots on the defensive end with his length and quickness. His ability to knock down shots in the pick/pop or spotting up is what brings such great value as he has a feathery stroke with a high release. Plus shooter that should be highly considered by D2 programs!

[player_tooltip player_id='2105204' first='Aidan' last='Anderson'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'])

Anderson is a strong bodied five man from Okawville that plays with physicality around the hoop carving out space down low finishing with hook shots. Solid area rebounder on both ends of the floor and had several put backs throughout the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766476' first='Race' last='Hickey'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'])

Hickey was one of the tallest players in the event as the Marion center displayed his rim protection as his biggest strength. Uses his length rebounding pretty well and was stronger finishing around the cup than he was early in his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='2388497' first='Aaron' last='Holman'] (Frontline)

Holman is a 2026 power forward from Springfield Southeast that did the dirty work for his team by getting on the glass, scoring with his athleticism around the rim, and being a presence defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2499794' first='Oren' last='Byman'] (Illinois Orange 16U)

This Freeburg 6'7” five man put his name on our radar with his play over the weekend. Big bodied post that is still learning the game, but there are tools to work with. Good area rebounder and has soft touch around the cup.
